Minimum Stays

Please note that we require a two-night minimum stay, and a three-night minimum stay on selected holiday periods. We suggest that you book your stay as early as possible. Reservations are accepted up to eighteen months in advance. Exceptions can be made if you provide an exceptional or creative argument.

Arrival and Departure
Check-In time is between 3PM and 8PM. If your plans have you arriving after 8PM, please contact us to arrange a late arrival. Check-Out time is 11AM. Early Check-In, and or Late Check-Out are by request only and not guaranteed. Guests must be at least 25 years old to check into the inn.

Modify Reservations / Cancellations

While we understand that plans do change, our inn is small enough that even one cancellation makes an enormous difference. We ask for your cooperation in observing a 60 day in-season (May-October) and holiday cancellation notice prior to your expected arrival. If you cancel with less than the required notice, you will be charged for the full balance of the nights reserved. Refunds will only be made for those nights that we are able to re-book. Any change in your reservation dates, except for an extension, will be considered a cancellation.

Smoking Policy

Pond Mountain Inn is committed to providing its guests with a smoke-free environment. We want each guest room and all our indoor areas to feel fresh and clean. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of the property – a $250.00 fine will be assessed if it has been determined that the smoking policy has been violated. Although smoking is not permitted indoors, guests who smoke are permitted to do so outside.

Airport & Amtrak Transfers 

We offer relaxed, comfortable transportation to and from the Albany International Airport. Transfers by Mercedes-Benz between the Inn and the airport are priced at $200 per one-way trip, $350 per round-trip.

Amtrak Schedules

Amtrak offers daily services from New York’s Penn Station to Castleton, Vermont on the Ethan Allen Express: For Train Schedule Details Click Here. We offer free Amtrak transfers. The Castleton train station is fifteen minutes from the inn.
